Pneumatic pressing, slow fermentation at controlled temperature to enhance aromatic expression. Aged on fine lees. Bottled at the estate.
Terroir:
The Grand Cru Pfersigberg — meaning "Peach Tree Hill" in French — faces southeast. Thanks to exceptional sunshine, this terroir allows for early and optimal ripening of the grapes.
The soil is predominantly marl-limestone, with a subsoil composed of limestone pebbles.
Appearance: Pale gold with luminous highlights, clear and brilliant.
Nose: Intense and refined, it reveals captivating floral notes dominated by old rose, followed by exotic nuances of candied mango and lychee, with a subtle touch of cardamom.
Palate: The attack is full and silky. The rich texture unfolds elegantly, supported by a beautiful sweetness perfectly balanced by freshness. Exotic fruit aromas shine through with finesse, in a profile both generous and airy.
Finish: Long and smooth, marked by lovely tension and lingering spicy notes. A Gewurztraminer of great character — structured, delicate, and precise.
Ready to enjoy now for its freshness and fruit, but can age up to 10 years in the cellar.
Serve chilled, between 8 and 10°C
This Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Pfersigberg pairs beautifully with refined dishes featuring subtle, gently spiced flavors. It elevates pan-seared foie gras with rose petals, lacquered langoustines with mild spices, or Bresse poultry with roasted fruits. With cheeses such as Bleu de Gex or truffle Brie, it creates a strikingly harmonious contrast. On the sweet side, it complements a cardamom-poached pear or an exotic fruit pavlova with elegance.
